Sunshine Diner for sale: retro Kitsilano breakfast restaurant listed at $ 1 million
VANCOUVER – Kitsilano’s famous Sunshine Diner could be yours for $ 1 million.
The restaurant, located on West Broadway near Trafalgar Street, features retro 1950s decor with neon signs and life-size statues of Elvis and Marilyn Munroe.
“A Vancouver breakfast institution is on the market! Sunshine Diner has been serving the West Side for decades and is looking for a new operator, ”the listing states.
The 100-seat restaurant is being sold for $ 999,000 through a real estate broker specializing in restaurants.
“With 70 seats inside and 30 for the terraces, this breakfast restaurant is booming, even throughout the pandemic,” he continues.
According to its website, the restaurant has served customers for almost 30 years. However, it was located a few doors east of the intersection of McDonald Street and West Broadway and was considerably smaller. Then, in the mid-2000s, it moved two blocks east to its current location at 2649 West Broadway.
Anyone who buys the restaurant is welcome to continue operating it as Sunshine Diner, or can change their name, reads the list.
“It’s a turnkey opportunity. Continue as a Sunshine Diner or bring your own brand and enjoy the built-in goodwill.
